From using a different template for your home page to the number and style of sidebars, there is a theme that can be tweaked for your practice.

Remarkablogger has laid out the reasons in a well-written post so I'm not going to reinvent the wheel. For all the reasons you don't want your business blog on Blogger.com, you'll want to choose the Word Press.org version.
