Define Your Client Market

If you haven’t got an online marketing plan in writing, this is the time to make it. But before anything, you absolutely must know WHO your potential clients are and what problem they want solved. That is step one. Spend time on this step because if you don’t, nothing else you do with online marketing can succeed. The more you know about your tribe and their problem and they way they talk about their problem, the easier it is to become the go-to expert.

Use Keywords to Attract Your Client Market

Once you have your market clearly defined, you will be ready to move on to using online marketing tools like your website and blog and articles to attract more clients. That’s why you need a clearly defined market – they talk about their problem in specific language. You will want to use the language of your clients on your site, blog and in your articles. That’s how you speak their language. When you speak their language, you talk directly to them in a personal way. This enhances your credibility and accelerates your claim to expert status.

Start a Relationship with Potential Clients

When you have attracted potential clients to your website/blog, you want to be able to start a relationship with them. For this, you will need an email autoresponder service. These services allow you to automatically send emails and deliver “freemiums” to your potential clients. You don’t have to be at your computer 24/7 to have information delivered to your potential clients when you use an autoresponder like AWeber or Mail Chimp. Plus, it takes most clients a little time to actual engage a professional for help. During this time, you will be able to regularly send newsletters, e-zines or even simple emails to them.
